Appeals to American Badass

Most people driving down I-96 just east of Lansing. Mich., can’t miss the broad side of a red barn that blares “Kid Rock Help Us Out,” in white paint.
It’s been there a few weeks, but the local paper out there got around to looking into it today, and the story is a nice one. I had called the number on the barn about a week ago, being ceaselessly curious about such things.
David Ciolek, described in the story as a “barn preservationist,” told me pretty much the same thing he told the reporter on the story. He thought it would be a good place for Rock to deliver the message of his American Badass beer, seeing as it’s just a mile or two from the Michigan Brewing Company, which handles the production of the beer.
Ciolek also told me  that in addition to using the sign space on the barn, maybe the silo could be shaped as a can of beer.
Not a terrible idea, but regardless of its merits, he made a good, imaginative effort to make something happen. I’d put some good money on it that the civic-minded Rock does something decent.
